There is no permanent hair removal, but using lasers can effectively delay hair growth for long periods.
Is Laser Hair Removal Painful and How Long Do the Treatments Last?
The laser treatment itself may produce slight tingling or irritation at the time of the procedure. However, at Low Country Dermatology, our laser uses a patented cooling technology that helps our patients tolerate any discomfort. Each treatment can last up to sixty minutes, depending on the part of the body receiving treatments and how much hair is being targeted. Because lasers only affect hairs that are in the growing phase, it is unlikely to remove all the hair at once. Several treatments are suggested, and this will be discussed at the time of your appointment. Our average client can expect 4-6 treatments for maximum effectiveness.
